INTRODUCTION

The Macedonia Call Global Assembly arose from a vision for world evangelism, deliverance from shackles of disease, ignorance and poverty; it has its foundation on love and obedience to the great commission bringing succour and help to make the world safer, fairer and more inclusive.  It focuses on holiness and faith in a broken world making Jesus known everywhere as the savior and everlasting King.

The Vision came in Brixton  United Kingdom in 2008 within the Foursquare movement and incorporated at the The summit Columbia USA, which has now grown to become an independent global ministry to accelerate discipling of nations as we await the return of the Savior.

PART 1

The year 2000 was very special in the life of Dr Osaren Emokpae. He was called to Pastoral Ministry as well as commencing entrepreneurship in business, opening seven companies in one day. His  Pastor, friends and colleagues used the whole of May to pray for the businesses and formally opening shop on 1st of June 2000.

Under the Pastoral calling, he and his team planted 13 churches under Foursquare Movement, starting with Ehor Foursquare Gospel church, to the last two planted in April 2022-International Airport Foursquare Grand Assembly and International Airport Love Assembly-this latter one specially designed for Street urchins, area boys and their families and homeless people. In 2006 he decided to relocate to the United Kingdom

It was while in the United Kingdom, precisely in 2008 in Brixton - South London, he received the vision to help the Jamaicans and Caribbean people homeless and living rough in England. He also received the vision of bringing together Africans and Caribbean people living in the United Kingdom for fellowship within the larger foursquare Gospel church family in United Kingdom. He shared same with many Foursquare Pastors in the UK, which led to the birth of Afro-Caribbean Ministry within the Foursquare Movement in the UK, Pulpit exchange and FLO (Foursquare London Outreach that held in South Bank university) .

The Afro-Caribbean ministry was designed to give THE GOOD NEWS accompanied by GOOD WORKS first to the Jamaicans living rough in Brixton, United Kingdom, and secondly other Caribbean and Africans.

Dr Osaren Emokpae subsequenly started a Foursquare church in 2008 in London United Kingdom with the assistance of Rev Darijo Akindele, Rev Akeem and Rev Julius Omotoso; firstly, to have base to bring together Foursquare churches in Britain and secondly with a vision to have 7 local churches planted in London.

Dr Emokpae eventually left the UK to Nigeria after eight years when his businesses in Nigeria, from which came financial resources to fund the ministry, were collapsing. He handed the UK church to Rev. Julius Omotoso and Rev Akindele.  After his departure  both of them chose to transition the church into two churches-Eltham Foursquare and New Cross Foursquare churches in London, UK. Rev Akeem that was one of his associate pastors chose a different path, go solo to start his Foursquare church which has now given birth to 2 other churches.

On Dr Emokpae’s return to Nigeria he set up the ministry for the Needy within Foursquare Lakeview, with Pastors Oniwide and Theophilus Ihejirika but was driven then by Pastor Tunde Oniwide, supported by Pastors Okoro and Iwuoha.  This move was intended to continue to enlarge the Macedonia call vision-Giving food to the needy, widows; accommodation for youths in need in the community, Scholarships, Jobs etc, as well as give them the Good News. Even when Covid 19 came he and his ministry team members did not stop as they were having fellowship for the Needy every Wednesday, giving them food and The Word of life making Jesus known to them as the Saviour and Lord.

PART 2

At the global level he and his team members began holding Mission conferences every year-five straight years in London, one year in Nazareth Israel, one year in Nigeria during Covid 19, three years in the United states and one year in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean.

Dr Osaren Emokpae, decided to step down from active pastoring within Foursquare church in Nigeria in April 2023, handed over to Rev Theophilus Ihejirika and his amiable and very godly wife; and moved to the Caribbean to fulfil the Macedonia call in full. While on this assignment Foursquare Church in Nigeria appointed him the first Male Executive Counsellor of Foursquare Nigeria, a position he still occupied until his voluntary retirement, effective end of  March  2025.

In the Caribbean he started a local church in Santo Domingo-Dominican Republic -With Pastors Pierre Denstival  and Dr Tova as Resident Pastors under the guidance of Rev Everest Iwuoha . Thereafter he started one church in Trinidad and Tobago with Pastor Turnel Hendrickson and his wife as Resident Pastor. He then brought into Foursquare  fold 4 very small existing independent churches (in Trinidad and  Tobago) and one in George town Guyana and transitioned them to the Foursquare Movement. He took the representative of this team to Montego Bay- Jamaica, for Caribbean Regional conference to expose him to the Foursquare family.

These four churches decided to return 18 months after wards  to their original status of small independent churches, on the reason that Dr Osaren Emokpae could not meet their financial demands. Even one of them asked Dr Emokpae to buy a car for him. They did not appreciate that the funding of the Foursquare ministry in that part of the world came from Dr Emokpae and few friends. FMI was not interested in providing any financial support despite the promise they made  earlier.
But while the churches were with Dr Emokpae souls were won for Christ and they have been documented in heaven.

Dr Emokpae went further to set up a Foursquare Macedonia  Assembly in the US to oversee the Caribbean work. The financial demand of this missionary work and church planting was taking a heavy toll on him with Foursquare Mission International under  Jonathan Hall  only encouraging him in words without funding.

PART 3

Painfully, some fellows reached out to the leadership of Foursquare Nigeria,  that Dr Emokpae was operating illegally in the Caribbean, particularly in Trinidad and Tobago where he took up the assignment as National Leader and General Overseer.

With the above information, Rev Dr Sam Aboyeji, General overseer of Foursquare Nigeria, called Dr Emokpae on phone at a time he was having dinner with Rev Dr Oloidi in his home in Atlanta Georgia. Rev Dr Sam Aboyeji asked Dr Emokpae to send to   him his letter of appointment to the Caribbean, and in particular-Trinidad and Tobago.

Rev Dr Richard Oloidi sat in the room throughout the period Dr Emokpae was digging out the mails and letters from FMI; Rev Dr Oloidi  insisting he must read everything before Osaren Emokpae could send them to Rev. Aboyeji. Rev Oloidi took his time to read the letter line by line before allowing Dr Emokpae to send the mail. Rev Dr Richard Oloidi has always watched over Dr Osaren Emokpae, like a mother hen, since Dr Emokpae gave his life to Christ under his watch.

Dr Emokpae copied the mail to the leadership of Foursquare Mission International, as well as some other global leaders of The Foursquare church.

When Rev Sam Aboyeji  read Dr Osar Emokpae’s mail and the accompanying documents, he and some global leaders replied to Dr Osaren Emokpae within few hours, firstly Rev Dr Sam Aboyeji (only relevant portion of his mail is published here, and in absolute respect of Rev Dr Sam Aboyeji, Dr Osaren Emokpae’s mail is not published here):

  Beloved Dr Emokpae,

Thank you very much for your detailed email.  I am sure everyone is rejoicing over the progress of the latest entrance in the Caribbean led by you and pray for more Grace.
I am glad you are in touch with the leaders of FOURSQUARE work in the Caribbean particularly Pastor Jonathan Hall.  I am happy about the clarity that it is not a Nigerian work, but it remains a FOURSQUARE work and therefore in our prayers.  I think those who reached out to me must have done so knowing that you still hold a leadership appointment with FOURSQUARE Nigeria...

Once again thanks for the clarifications while we continue to pray for speed and lasting impact for the work in the Caribbean.  Our love to Mummy and your family.

Rev Sam Aboyeji

General Overseer  The Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria

The leaders of FMI who were copied in Dr Emokpae’s mail to Rev Dr Sam Aboyeji rose immediately to Dr Emokpae’s defense, telling those who cared to listen to applaud and celebrate Dr Osaren Emokpae for his unprecedented  feat, sacrifice and leadership in Trinidad and Tobago Foursquare church, a very challenging missionary work.  See below  some excerpts from what two of them wrote:

 Dear Pastor Osaren,

Am rejoicing and so thankful to the Lord for all that is happening, this is truly WONDERFUL!!
Hope to be with you there soon, thank you for serving and LEADING IN SUCH A WONDERFUL WAY. Blessings upon you and leaders there (in Trinidad and Tobago)!!

Subject: RE: TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

 Dear Revs. Sam and Osaren,
Thank you so very much for copying me in this rich communication………..
We continue to pray and rejoice over…
Rev. Osaren and team’s great dedication to advancing the gospel and planting churches in the Caribbean, especially in T&T
Continued pursuit of unity and missional alignment on the part of all, these are truly global and complex projects that involve multiple nations, cultures and Foursquare polities or customs.
A constant spirit of collaboration and partnership on the part of all as we all have plenty to learn from each other, the Global Council and Regional Councils are especially created for this very reason, to encourage and facilitate increased communication and engagement.

May the Lord RICHLY bless all involved in this conversation, especially those involved in pioneer/church planting efforts (Dr Osaren Emokpae and his team) which is some of the most challenging yet rewarding aspects of Kingdom advance.

Church Planting

Blessings pastor (Osaren). It has been too long. I wanted to let you know that some good friend of mine will be moving to Trinidad as missionaries to plant churches. If we can help the work you started there it would be an honor.  Blessings.

 Pastor Ricky Navarro

Emissary to the Caribbean

No one on planet earth can spoil the solid friendship between Rev Dr. Sam Aboyeji and Dr Osaren Emokpae. They love each other dearly.

But see what Dr Emokpae’s Spiritual Parents Dr and Rev Mrs Richard Oloidi told him in the midst of the disinformation about the Foursquare work in the Caribbean- ‘He who God has lifted up, no one can pull down’’ ‘’ You are an Iroko, Oak tree in Foursquare ( worlwide)’’
God has made you a Global Apostle.
